Self-Love Part 3

Wow, what a summer! Apologies for the delay for part three of my self-love piece. It's been a whirlwind since the children finished school, and to be honest, finding time for self-love was a bit difficult. But to be honest, after a few weeks of trying to juggle working and kids who demanded attention, I realised...Hold on, my act of self-love is to stop stressing about trying to be a self-employed single parent and actually enjoy the quality time I have with my kids. They are getting older, and I won't have this time anymore! It was a beautiful act of loving me, and I am glad I came to that realisation before it was too late.

To continue with my thoughts of self-love, I looked at working with my body and mind. I considered a bit of pampering and meditation. I recently joined a gym. I planned to spend time connecting with my body again, through the health and wellbeing of doing yoga and using the spa. Money has been tight, but my gift to myself was to go ahead and sign up and work it out later. I am happy I made that decision. It has done me a world of great!

Just before the summer holidays, I downloaded an app. This app I felt would put my wondering mind at rest. The app, Sandailo Psychics, has a selected amount of spiritual advisors who basically give you a psychic reading or answer questions to help guide you. Not for all, but I found when I saw a psychic during one of my depression "moments" almost 2 years ago, it gave me faith in being positive about what was to come. I didn't dwell on the nasty breakup I had, I focused on what could be my future. Bearing this in mind, I tried out this app just because my life at the moment has been a bit of an upheaval with moving from Scotland back to an area I used to live in but now feel like a stranger in.

How does this app work?

You buy a private or public question. As it says on the tin, private provides you with one on one advice/reading from an advisor. The public question is displayed in a forum where one of their listed advisors will answer in time. My questions were based on love, career and my living situation. Upon receipt of answers, I would say I felt more relaxed once again. Even if you don't believe in "higher" beings, someone positively speaking to you or giving you some sort of escape of a cyclone spinning through your head can be beneficial. Even if it makes you laugh. Laughing is an affirmative action and great for your mind! ;)

So I have told you about ways to give yourself self-love from the inside.

Nakin Natural Skincare Range is a way to provide this from the outside. This luxurious British brand using natural plant extracts in their anti-ageing products.

The Advance Cleansing Milk is a skin cleanser that removes make-up and all the ickies from a day. I love the fact that it has Pomegranate and Seaweed extract. I do have a sensitive face, so it was a bit tingly at first, but it left my face feeling fresh and radiant.

I also used the Revitalising Face oil. The oil is a combination of Baobab oil (helps with dry and ageing skin) Argan oil (softens skin) Peach Kernel oil (nourishes skin) and Jojoba oil (anti-inflammatory, helps with acne). My face felt hydrated and again fresh and energised.

The award-winning products from Nakin range from £10-£25. Affordable luxury!

I am happy I have been able to share the ways I have discovered how to love myself without feeling guilty. I do hope that a few of these actions you have been able to relate to. If you have any suggestions or would like to talk more about the subject, please feel free to reach out to me.
