An amazing purifying product that remarkably changes the quality of your water!

I have just tried the ZeroWater 5 stages advanced filtration pitcher and I am extremely impressed!

I am one of those people who just doesn't like tap water. Call it OCD, fear of germs, being pretentious, what ever the case, I find it very difficult to put tap water near my mouth, lol. I even brush my teeth with bottled water. I even went as far as to only drink Scottish bottled water hahaha. Ah ,whatever it's my quirkiness!

Anyhoo, I came across this water purifier from ZeroWater. I decided it was about time I tried to cut costs and at least have "tap" water at home. I can save gourmet bottled water for when I was on the road. PLUS. I also noticed a remarkable quantity of bottle wastage in the home, and I must do something to help the environment.

Right let me tell you a bit of what I know about ZeroWater. ZeroWater has a unique 5-stage filter that reduces lead & chromium. It also removes, chlorine, fluoride, radium and asbestos 😮

It removes all TDS. TDS are dissolved solids found in water. eeeck!

Ok, that has won me over so far. BUT... do I believe this?

I decided to do my own little test. Yes, they have one on their site. But as I have the time and the weird phobia and that little bit of weirdness about me, I took my filtered water and tap water and my trusted water from the springs of the highlands.

My pitcher came with a special TDS Water Filter Meter, to use you place this in the water and get your reading of impurities.

When I took the product out of the box, it was quite sturdy and felt of great quality. The 5 stage filter is very easy to install, just screw it in. Then add your tap water and in no time the water has gone through the system.

FIRST INSTANCE:

I poured the water from the pitcher into the beaker and I was flabbergasted. Holy wow... the water was super crystal clear. Like super clear!

I took 2 other beakers and added tap water to one and the my bottled water to the last.

The tap water, well, I was not surprised. Colour comparison was like a greeny 😷colour. Hence why I dislike putting that stuff near my lips. The bottled water was not as clear as the Zero Water, but definitely not the sickly eww colour the rest of my household think is "Normal".

SECOND TEST:

The TDS water meter:

What a surprise? I wasn't that crazy after all 😏I knew I didn't like the water for a reason. BUT I didn't realise that bottled water was not that far off (146)

The Tap was a not surprising at all! (270).

I initially was getting (004) for the ZeroWater. After four birdbrain attempts, I realised I was pouring the water out of the pitcher from the top. Which was basically pouring back a bit of the unfiltered water back into the beaker. So after I worked out there was a little tap at the bottom, I refilled the beaker and the result was (000)

If I had the time, I would have filtered the bottle water to see if I received a 000 reading after. Please feel free to try for yourselves and drop me a tag or story on Instagram with your result (Instagram: @koloursuk)

THIRD TEST:

Taste, well I couldn't bring myself to drink the tap water, even for the test because psychologically it would mess me up. I'm not in Australia in the jungle so I am not prepared to face my fear. So I compared the taste with my bottled Scottish water. It does taste a bit sweeter compared to the bottled water, but really fresh and clean. I will have to get used to that flavour as it is a bit foreign to me, a bit fruity and different to what I am used to but no harm done. Bottled water from Scotland seems to have a refreshing, thirst quenching taste. Let's hope in time I can convert the taste buds. No smells and as I said super clear with an almost crisp feeling to it. Like if I had bottled water from a glass bottle rather than plastic bottle that has been sitting on the supermarket shelf, if you get my drift. My son however was eager to give the tap versus ZW a try. His exact words were "WOW, it tastes so different, it tastes fresh, doesn't taste chemically, it tastes so GOOOD", he's 12, the 10 year old followed suit! "Can we have more!" RESULT, I feel 2019 will be the year of the water with dinner! 🙌🏾

As I type I am boiling water for pasta with the filtered water and there isn't that cloudiness and film you get from tap water.

The only thing I say is that the lip in the front, where I made the mistake of pouring out the water from would be ideal if it was where you added the water as it does take some time to fill up a 2.8 litre jug what seems like 3 cups every couple mins.

So, am I converted? So far yes. I brushed my teeth with it and it felt quite nice on my teeth. Haha, didn't leave a filmy texture. Shame there isn't enough to shower in it for a full body experience test!🙈
