Let's try some pâté!
Wild and Game was established only in 2017. It is a non-profit organisation specialising in quality game based food products, at a consumer-friendly price, available online.
My order arrived in a freezer pack via courier. In the box, I had the Grouse, Brandy & Herb Pâté and the Pheasant, Pistachio & Port Pâté.
Grouse, Brandy & Herb Pâté

This pâté is a grouse breast and chicken liver combination. The grouse is seasoned with the beautiful flavours of, cloves, nutmeg and coriander leaves, giving it a soft wintery aroma and fruity spice taste. With Christmas around the corner, this would be a perfect addition to the nibbles table. The pâté has a lovely texture. I had mine with sourdough toast. I loved all the flavours that hit my taste buds.
Pheasant, Pistachio & Port Pâté

This pâté is a pheasant and chicken liver combination. I usually don't enjoy nuts in food, because of texture, but the pistachios are blitz quite finely. This pâté is denser than the Grouse option. The flavours are stronger by way of the rich pheasant meat. Not a coarse pâté, but the nuts give it a quite a rough texture. I had this one with the toast but preferred it on just bread to balance out the coarseness.
The pâtés were delicious, and I will be a repeat customer. I did prefer the Grouse to the Pheasant, but the quality of both products are incredibly delightful.
Wild and Game also provide whole game, pies and sausages.
